Being a lip blush model is an exciting & rewarding gym experience! Not only do you have beautiful new lips at the end of your treatment, but you will also save huge!
Our model treatments are performed by our trained students who are coming to the end of their assessment process. They are performed under the watchful eyes of our highly experienced Master Artists-Trainers in a safe, professional training environment.
Sounds great, right? But before becoming a model, there are a few things that you’ll need to consider…
1. Your Lip Past
If you have had lip blush or tinting of any kind done in the past, you will not be eligible to model. When looking for models, our ideal person will have untouched lips completely free of permanent makeup.
2. Your Availability
Model treatments can take longer to perform as they are carried out by students who are undertaking an assessment. Although our students are trained and experienced, we allow extra time for them to work at a slower pace under the expert guidance of our Master Artist-Trainers. This is to ensure that the treatment is carried out safely, professionally, and responsibly. If you don’t have enough spare time in the day to be able to commit to a couple of hours for your treatment, then this won’t be a great option for you.
3. Your Health
Your health can play a huge part in whether you are suitable for permanent makeup or microblading treatment. For example, if you are undergoing chemotherapy, and have health conditions like heart disease or a blood-borne virus, you would not be suitable for treatment whilst you have the condition. Some medications can also affect your treatment such as Isotretinoin (commonly called Accutane), Warfarin, and Aspirin. These are just a few examples – our forms have a full list of total contraindications for you if you are at all unsure.

Heart Conditions/Pace Maker/Defibrillator (No exceptions)

People with diabetes.

Women who are pregnant or lactating.

People with glaucoma or taking blood-thinning medication.

People with skin diseases such as psoriasis, eczema, and undiagnosed rashes or blisters on the Site that is to be treated.

People with allergies to makeup or color pigment.

People with easily triggered post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
-
People with transmittable blood conditions like HIV or Hepatitis.
-
People with active skin cancer in the area to be tattooed
-
People who are hemophiliac.
-
People who have healing disorders, uncontrolled high blood pressure, or had/have mitral valve disorder.
-
People on any skin medication such as ro-accutaine, steroids which thin and oversensitive the skin.

People with any type of cold sore or who blister easily.
PLEASE NOTE THAT IF YOU HAVE LIP FILLERS OR BOTOX OR PLAN TO DO SO, YOU ARE ONLY ELIGIBLE TO MODEL 3 MONTHS BEFORE YOUR PROCEDURE OR 3 MONTHS AFTER YOUR PROCEDURE.
4. Your Expectations
The shape of the lip liner is always drawn on prior to the tattooing procedure. Once you have approved the shape and color we then continue with the actual tattooing. Lip treatments can heal differently on each individual person depending on several factors such as skin type, the pigments chosen and whether the aftercare advice is followed. Lip treatments are taken over the course of two appointments- the first appointment is where your initial consultation takes place, the shape and color of your lips is determined, and the pigment is applied to create your beautiful new lips. A second appointment should follow within 4 – 6 weeks which is for re-touching – this is where your technician will make any color adjustments needed or fill in any gaps where the pigment may have lightened or not retained within the skin. This model service does not include the touch-up appointment, which will have to be booked separately.
5. Your Plans Before And After Your Treatment
You will be given thorough advice on what to do after your treatment to get the absolute best results for your new lips. This includes advice such as ensuring that your lips are kept clean and moisturized, avoiding makeup throughout the healing process, and avoiding direct sunlight to your lips. It is important to avoid going to the gym or swimming straight after your treatment as it can severely impact the healing process. You will also need to avoid waxing and tinting treatments right before your treatment and until your lips have healed. The forms provided at your service will give you a thorough understanding of the best process to follow to get the desired end results. The lips may appear very dry and chapped as they heal. The color may appear lighter at first, however it comes back as the skin heals. Usually, the truest color appears after about two weeks.
**Use good sunscreen daily- even lips require protection. Sun exposure will fade your permanent cosmetics and may cause irritation even years later.**
Booking an Appointment
We are always looking for models for trainer’s demonstrations and student practice during training.
However, with the program being very successful we sometimes have a waiting list. Appointments are booked on a first come first serve basis. The amount of students registered for a particular class determines the amount of models booked per month.

Before booking as a model please read and consider the following:
- You must between the ages 18-35 years old - You are not taking any medications - Your blood pressure is normal - Your skin is healthy - You have no previous permanent makeup - You understand that you will be asked to read and sign all forms regarding before & aftercare including personal health information - There will be a $100 deposit required for models to ensure your presence on top of discounted model pricing with instructor or student. A touch-up appointment is recommended, but not included. Please understand that this is a time commitment, student's are still learning so it will most likely take a couple of hours.
